The use of commercial products for skin care can often have the opposite effect than expected due to the use of various additives and chemicals. If you are allergic to some of the ingredients that are found in a particular product or have sensitive skin, then various problems can occur. A product that will not include any harmful chemicals is a better choice. One option is to make a homemade facial toner.

The ingredients that are used to make a homemade facial toner can easily be found in a variety of health stores and even online. The benefit of using all natural ingredients to make a facial toner is that many are antibacterial and anti-inflammatory and contain no impurities or chemical additives.

One important detail about the use of any product applied as a toner is to prepare the face. Washing your face with warm water will help to open the pores as you clean. You can then apply a natural facial toner by using a cotton pad to remove any remaining dirt, oil, and or excess makeup. This makes the skin more healthy, cleaner, and prepped to take a moisturizer.

Any glass jar can be used as a container for your natural facial toner. You also could use a standard mason jar as it will have a suitable lid. Once you’ve made the toner, you will need to wait about two weeks for all the ingredients to blend together before using.
